Introducing another K6F Custom. These tensioners are designed to replace the stock hydraulic tensioners that are very well known to fail. They are a direct replacement on the KL engines and require no modifications to the engine itself. It is suggested that part of the timing belt cover to be cut away for future adjustments if needed (pictured below).

These tensioners are made from very strong materials. The bracket is .25 thick angle, the housing is .125 x.75 Dom tubing, and shaft is solid cold rolled .50 steel. The hardware to adjust the tensioner include a 3/8 SAE GD8 Bolt, a welded in GD8 Lock Nut, and a Jam Nut . Every tensioner is fully anti seized inside to prevent rusting. Also provided is 2 metric mounting bolts.

How to Install:.
Installation is very easy, Simply adjust the tensioner to its lowest position and bolt it in place of the previous stock tensioner. Once your belt is correctly put on, adjust the tensioner in so that there is no more then ¼ belt deflection (aprox 1/2 in of the shaft will be visible on a new belt) The tensioner can be adjusted more if needed. Once the adjustment is done, secure the jam nut to completely lock the bolt. You are done and can reassemble your timing covers, cutting away a portion if you would like future ease of adjustment.
